Scholarship Season is Here


Need help with recruiting and covering the costs of training new apprentices? The Foundation’s Scholarship program can help!

This year the PHCC Educational Foundation has $160,000 up for grabs through 61 scholarships. For apprentices, applications require a letter of recommendation from a PHCC member, plus answering a few questions about career plans and industry experience. The deadline is May 1st, but early submissions are strongly encouraged.

CE for Plumbers: 8 hours of safety, code and product training

PHCC Colorado is recognized by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as an attesting continuing education provider in Colorado. 

Starting in February 2022, licensed Residential, Journeyman, and Master Plumbers who are renewing their license, will have to attest to completing eight (8) hours of continuing education credit in the previous 12 months. According to this rule, licenses must also attest upon renewal that they have read the current Colorado Plumbing Code. See more details here: https://pcac.memberclicks.net/ce

Journeyman/Master Plumber Exam Prep Course - February 2022

When: February 18-20, 2022

Friday: 7am - 4pm
Saturday: 8am - 4pm

Sunday: 8am - 4pm

This 3-day class will help you prepare to pass the written, multiple choice and practical sections of the journeyman and master plumber exams.

We will review the IPC, IRC codes, including a brief overview of the Colorado state adopted code amendments, and will help you apply the requirements of these codes/amendments to the installation of plumbing systems.

Topics covered include:

  • the currently adopted codes, namely, the International Plumbing Code (IPC), the International Residential Code (IRC), including fire sprinkler provisions as well as the Rules and Regulations as adopted by the Examining Board of Plumbers
  • a step-by-step demonstration (out of appendix E) of water and water pipe sizingDrain Waste and Vent.
  • how to navigate the code book and test to the code in order to pass the exam
